1. Adrenaline (Epinephrine)
- *Dose:* 0.5-1 mg IV/IM, repeat every 5-15 minutes as needed
- *Use:* Anaphylaxis, cardiac arrest, severe asthma
- *Antidote:* None
- *Side effects:* Hypertension, tachycardia, anxiety, tremors
2. Atropine
- *Dose:* 0.5-1 mg IV, repeat every 5-10 minutes as needed
- *Use:* Bradycardia, organophosphate poisoning
- *Antidote:* Physostigmine (for atropine toxicity)
- *Side effects:* Dry mouth, blurred vision, urinary retention, tachycardia
3. Beta blockers (Propranolol)
- *Dose:* 1-5 mg IV, repeat every 5-10 minutes as needed
- *Use:* Hypertension, tachyarrhythmias, thyrotoxic crisis
- *Antidote:* Glucagon (for beta blocker toxicity)
- *Side effects:* Hypotension, bradycardia, bronchospasm, fatigue
4. Calcium gluconate
- *Dose:* 1-2 g IV, repeat as needed
- *Use:* Hyperkalemia, hypocalcemia, calcium channel blocker overdose
- *Antidote:* None
- *Side effects:* Hypercalcemia, nausea, vomiting, constipation
5. Dantrolene
- *Dose:* 1-2 mg/kg IV, repeat as needed
- *Use:* Malignant hyperthermia
- *Antidote:* None
- *Side effects:* Muscle weakness, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea
6. Diazepam (Valium)
- *Dose:* 5-10 mg IV, repeat as needed
- *Use:* Seizures, status epilepticus, anxiety
- *Antidote:* Flumazenil (for benzodiazepine toxicity)
- *Side effects:* Sedation, respiratory depression, confusion, ataxia
7. Digoxin (Lanoxin)
- *Dose:* 0.25-0.5 mg IV, repeat as needed
- *Use:* Atrial fibrillation, heart failure
- *Antidote:* Digoxin-specific antibody fragments (for digoxin toxicity)
- *Side effects:* Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, arrhythmias, visual disturbances
8. Dopamine
- *Dose:* 2-20 μg/kg/min IV
- *Use:* Hypotension, shock, heart failure
- *Antidote:* None
- *Side effects:* Hypertension, tachycardia, arrhythmias, nausea, vomiting
